Johnny Bill Renaker

John William “Johnny Bill” Renaker, 81 , a Dry Ridge, KY resident died Saturday January 28, 2023 at his residence.  Born on Sunday May 4, 1941 in Harrison County, KY, he was the son of the late John William Renaker and Jennie McKinley Poore.

On July 27, 2010, Johnny Bill was united in marriage to the former Jane Adams; she survives. He was a 1959 graduate of Owen County High School.

He grew up in his dad’s auto garage in Dry Ridge where he developed a life-long love for cars.  He drove over a million miles, without a chargeable accident, during his career as an OTR semi-truck driver.

In his spare time, Johnny Bill could be found in his garage working on his antique cars, prepping them for the hundreds of car shows he enjoyed attending over the years.  If he wasn’t at work or in the garage, Johnny was usually out and about in Dry Ridge visiting with friends.  Johnny never met a stranger.  While he lived and loved he battled cancer fiercely;  Johnny passed peacefully at home with his wife, Jane, by his side. He was a member of Williamstown United Methodist Church.

He leaves to carry on his legacy, six daughters: Melissa (Sam) Napier of Williamstown, Elizabeth (Jamey) Dalzell of Williamstown, Denise Davis of Cleveland, TN, Missy (Mike) Boone of Dry Ridge, Holly Adams of Fort Wright, Sarah (Chuck) Dills of Williamstown and two sisters: Laura (Nick) Struewing of Florence and Janey (Brant) Simmons of Lebanon, OH. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren: Jessica Napier, Eric Napier, Maddie Dalzell, Ethan Dalzell, Autumn Murray, Lyndie (Shelby) Boone, Lee (Emily) Boone, Blake (Tiffany) Dills, Brennen (Taleah) Dills, Bianca Dills, Hazel Brylee Dills, Brookylnn Dills, along with two great-grandchildren, all of whom lovingly called him "Papaw" and "Papaw Johnny".

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
