Mr. Johnny Clay Rogers of Corinth, KY. passed away Sunday, January 5 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown, KY. at the age of 56. Johnny was born April 25, 1963 in Lexington, KY. to Rev. Jessie C. and Lyvon Pitts Rogers. Johnny was for many years the maintenance director for Grant Manor Nursing Home and a long time member of the Stonewall First Church of God where he served as chairman of the worship service committee. Johnny also enjoyed fishing and shooting targets and clay pigeons.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 37 years, Regina Jenkins Rogers. He is also survived by a son: Johnathan Rogers and his wife Kristin of Georgetown, KY., a daughter: Ciara Mears and her husband Dalton of Georgetown, KY., his parents: Rev. Jessie C. and Lyvon Pitts Rogers of Mt. Sterling, KY., a brother: Tim Rogers of Mt. Sterling, KY., a sister: Charlene Reed and her husband Paul of Arlington, TX. and Johnny also has numerous other family members.
Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Clay Rogers will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, January 9 at the Stonewall First Church of God with Rev. Tom Denney and Rev. Roger Wells officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 8 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth and also additional visitation at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery. Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Stonewall First Church of God, in care of the funeral home.
