Joseph Edward Abeling, Jr.

Mr. Joseph Edward Abeling, Jr. of Hebron, KY. passed away Saturday, August 22 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence, KY. at the age of 47.  Joseph was born April 22, 1973 in Ft. Thomas, KY. to Patricia Ann Cole Abeling and the late Joseph Edward Abeling, Sr.  Joseph was a logistics employee for Bosch Automotive in Florence, KY. where he had worked for 19 years.  He attended the Violet Ridge Church of Christ in Crittenden, KY.  Joseph was a big fan of anything Marvel, whether it was comic books or movies and he was an avid video game player.  He loved to collect action figures and is most remembered by his family for his love for his children.

Joseph is survived by his wife: Rena Smith Abeling, his 3 sons: Mason C. Abeling, Jackson H. Abeling, Tyson J. Abeling all of Hebron, KY., his mother Patricia Ann Cole Abeling.  2 brothers: Bob (Kim) Harris of Corinth, KY., Tim Harris of Crittenden, KY., nephews: Austin (Kerry McGrath) Harris, Lucas Allnutt, nieces: Jennifer Harris (Marshall) Allnutt, SkyAnne Allnutt, Shanel Harris, Brittany Harris, his mother and father in law: Flora and Charles Smith.

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Edward Abeling, Jr. will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, August 27 in the chapel of the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 132 South Main Street, Crittenden, KY. 41030 with Jeff Butler officiating.  Visitation will also be on Thursday, August 27 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Burial will be in the St. Stephens Cemetery, Ft. Thomas, KY.  Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
