Joyce B. Martin , 81, of Williamstown, KY died Wednesday November 4, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Florence.  Born in Winchester, KY on February 14, 1939, she was the daughter of the late John William and Letha Beach Blackburn.

On September 4, 1970, Joyce was united in marriage to Stanley Elwood Martin; he preceded her in death on September 9, 2016. She, along with her late husband, worked as custodians for the Kentucky Department of Highways at the I-75 Rest Areas in Florence.  Her hobbies included collecting recipes and shopping. She was proud to have been inducted as an Honorary Colonel of the Kentucky State Police.

Survivors include her sons: Michael Shawn Martin of Williamstown, KY, James L. Vallandingham of Georgetown, KY; a daughter-n-law: Darlene Martin of Falmouth, KY, a cousin: Mary Kay Breeden and a niece: Velda Brake.  One grandchild: Andrew Joseph Martin and three great-grandchildren: Vanessa Brooke Martin, Lance Remy and Prew Flora Jean Martin also survive.  She was preceded in death by a son: William Jeffrey Blackburn and two sisters: Wanda Lou Goodpasture and Emogene Bellamy.

Visitation will be Friday November 13, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown location.  Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Keith Blair officiating.  Burial will follow in Mason Baptist Church Cemetery.
