Karen Cordes Rich

Mrs. Karen Susan Cordes Rich passed away at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the age of 67.  She was the widow of the late Darrell Franklin Rich.

Karen grew up in Rossmoyne, OH and attended the Mt. Notre Dame High School.  She was a former EMT Instructor and paramedic for NKEMS and Transcare.  She was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church in Elsmere, KY.  She was a former secretary for the KY State EMT Instructors Association.   She loved chocolate, crocheting and to collect Angels.  She loved her two dogs Angel and Suzy Q and cherished every moment with her grandchildren.

Karen is survived by one son, Michael (Tami) Miller of Ft. Thomas, KY, one brother, Thomas Cordes of Michigan, one sister-in-law, Diana Sewak of Beverly Hills, FL, one brother-in-law, Dennis (Lois) Rich of Walton, KY, and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, July 13, 2020 from 11am-2pm at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY.  Funeral services will follow at 2pm.  Pastor Chad Brannan of the New Bethel Baptist Church will be officiating services.  Karen will be laid to rest next to her husband Darrell in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY. Memorials are suggested to the American Alzheimer's Association.
