Katherine "Kateri" Herald

Katherine “Kateri” Herald, a beloved granddaughter, sister and niece, entered into her heavenly home on Monday April 21, 2025 in Florence, KY at the age of 18. Kateri was born in Cincinnati, OH on October 21, 2006. While her life was marked by osteogenesis imperfecta, she lived a full life filled with loving smiles, joy and a strong resilience.

Always focusing on her abilities rather than her disability, she made the best of her circumstances; her life was marked by positivity and affirmation. She was known for her remarkable ability to master any computer or phone issues.

Kateri was proud to be the granddaughter of Darlene Ann Pence and the sister of Nina Makya Herald, both of Dry Ridge, KY; her father, Wilgus Herald; other survivors include her maternal grandfather, Leland (Linda) Pence of Williamstown and paternal grandfather, Wilgus Herald II of Florence, KY; an uncle, Scott (Christy) Pence of Williamstown, KY and an aunt: Crissy Marksberry of Williamstown, KY, along with many cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother: Stacey Lee Pence Herald and a brother: Malachi Herald.

A Celebration of Kateri’s life will be held in conjunction with her brother, Malachi and her mother, Stacey, at a later date at the convenience of her family.
