Kathleen Marie Holaday

Kathleen Marie Merrill Holaday , 70, of Alexandria, KY, passed away on Sunday September 3, 2023, after a lengthy and courageous battle with ALS.  Born on August 12, 1953 in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Kendall and Mary Margaret Kelley Merrill.

She was a member of Cathedral Basilica Church of the Assumption in Covington. On November 17, 1984, she was united in marriage to Alan Lee Bogen; he preceded her in death on August 24, 2018.  She retired as an Employment Service Specialist for Northern Kentucky Workforce Development.  She was devoted to her grandkids and made it a priority to be a constant and consistent presence in their lives.  She was an avid supporter of all her grandchildren's  activities, including Karate, Cupstacking and attending marching band competitions. Up until her illness, she was always caring and attending to the needs of family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter: Lori Dannette (Tony) Lederer of Alexandria; three grandchildren, Wyatt Lederer, Morgan Lederer and Kendall Lederer, all of whom lovingly called her “Mammaw”.  She is also survived by her much loved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday September 9, 2023 from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. at Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, 1140 Madison Ave,  Covington, KY  41011.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 with Father Ryan Maher as the officiant.  Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Fort Mitchell.
