Kenneth Carl Depew

Kenneth Carl Depew of the Mt. Zion community, Dry Ridge, KY was born July 27, 1931 in London, KY and passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 at his residence at the age of 91 years.

He was the son of the late Carl Jackson and Ella Myrtle Stewart Depew. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a retired conductor for the L&N (CSX) Railroad and a farmer. Kenneth was also a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, the United Transportation Union, and the Old Timers Car Club. On June 18, 1967 he was united in marriage to his wife, Charlotte Rometta Deckard Depew. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Marvin and Terrence Depew.

Surviving is his wife, Charlotte Depew of Dry Ridge; 1 son, Cary Stewart (Shannon) Depew of Louisville; 2 granddaughters, Caylea Nicole (Nathan) Wetmore and Savana Stewart Depew both of Louisville; and 1 brother, Anthony “Tony” Depew of Northern, KY.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY followed by burial in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00pm Wednesday at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown.
