Kenneth Lee Bobb , a Dry Ridge resident passed away unexpectedly Thursday May 28, 2020 at his residence at the age of 82. Born May 20, 1938 in Butler, KY, he was the son of the late Ernest Ray and Mary Ernestine Mann Bobb.
On May 19, 1962, at the old Florence Baptist Church, “Kenny Bobb” was united in marriage to the former Ella Rose Rector; she preceded him in death on April 2, 2015. In 1997, after 41 years as a Machine Tool Engineer with Cincinnati Milacron, he retired. He served in the Army Reserve and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a 1956 graduate of Butler High School in Pendleton County. Much contentment and satisfaction came from his love for singing karaoke, spending time at his cabin on the creek and working on and restoring his International Harvester tractors.
“Kenny Bobb” leaves to carry on his legacy, one daughter: Kitty (Chris) McKinley of Dry Ridge, KY; one son: Kevin Bobb of Dry Ridge, KY; three sisters: Nettie “Twinkie” Perry of Cincinnati, OH, Shirley (Alan) Kennedy of Fort Mitchell, KY, Susie (Ron) Turley of Dry Ridge, KY; a very special close friend, Nancy Dickman of Erlanger, KY and…last but not least, his Yorkie Terrier, “Dandy”. In addition to his wife of 53 years, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Ernest Ray “Doodle” Bobb, John Franklin Bobb and two sisters: Rosemary Bond and Elsie Oser.
Visitation will be Wednesday June 3, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge. Funeral services with follow at 1:00 at the funeral home with Jim Perry officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
