Kimberly Anne Flachs Newman was born August 26, 1966 in Bay Shore, New York and passed away April 27, 2024 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 57. She was the daughter of Joan Marie Gsell Flachs of Corinth and the late Charles Anthony Flachs, Sr.
Kim, as she was known by her friends and family, was a homemaker and worked as a manager at Dry Ridge Wal-mart for 10 years. She was also a member of St. William Catholic Church in Williamstown. Kim had several hobbies including writing and listening to music. She loved spending time outdoors, especially mowing and kayaking. She could often be found enjoying sunsets and star gazing from her porch. Kim will also be remembered for her tattoos because she put so much thought into each one and they carried so much meaning for her. While Kim had many hobbies and pastime, she got her greatest joy from her family. She loved spending time with them and being a mom and grandma.
In addition to her mother, Kim is survived by her husband Mike Newman, Sr; three sons: Adam Dailey (Brittany) of Salem, IN, Micheal Newman, Jr. of Williamstown and Malachi Newman of Crittenden; two daughters: Kristina Dailey of Louisville and Meagan Newman of Dry Ridge; and four grandchildren: Christopher, Kayden, Erilynn and Lucas.
Kim was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Anthony Flachs, Jr. and Andrew Paul Flachs.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 2, 2024 at St. William Catholic Church, 6 Church St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 2, 2024 at St. William Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery.
