Kline Wright

Dave “Kline” Wright, 78, Dry Ridge, KY passed away Tuesday March 29, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center – Edgewood. Born in Williamstown, KY on Tuesday June 1, 1943, he was the son of the late Dave William and Ella Mae Hall Wright.

On March 12, 1965 Kline was united in marriage to the former Betty O’Banion; she preceded him in death on December 13. 2021. For 30 years (1978-2008) he owned and operated Kline Wright Trucking Company. He will long be remembered as a meek, humble-spirited, calm natured, hard-working man whom always treated people with respect and kindness. In is free time he loved fishing and attending flea markets with his wife but his greatest fulfillment came from spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.  He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

Kline was preceded in death by his wife and both their children, Michael Wright (July 4, 1994) and Angela Marie Jones (December 31, 2018) . He leaves to carry on his love and patience, two grandchildren: Michaela (Eddy) Jones-Poblete of Dry Ridge and Trenton Jones of Louisville;  one brother: Wayne (Linda) Wright of Walton; two sisters: Carol (Wayne) Sponcil of Dry Ridge and Mickie (Kenny) Jones of Williamstown. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Tuesday April 5, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes (Williamstown location).  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Howard Chipman officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife of 56 years at Hill Crest Cemetery.
