August 18, 1931 - December 25, 2024

Kyle Reed Hedrick, Sr. , 93, of Dry Ridge, KY, entered his eternal home on Christmas morning, 2024 at his home. Born on August 18, 1931 in Greenville, WV, he was the son of the late Clarence Clark Hedrick, Sr. and Mary Beatrice Reed Hedrick.

On June 4, 1953, Kyle was united in marriage to the former Betty Jo Roles; she preceded him in death on November 15th of this year. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from West Virginia University.  He invested many years of service to Agrico Chemical Co. where he served as Plant Manager; his career took him to various parts of the country. His faithful service to ministry throughout his life defined him as a true servant. His many church leadership positions included serving on the Pastor Parish Relations Committee, Trustee, Meals on Wheels; he also served his community through Rotary International and Woodman of the World.   Hunting and fishing played an important role in his life but the greatest legacy he leaves evolves around the importance he put on loving and caring for his family, which meant more to him than anything. While he served in many capacities and several churches across the country over the years, his current church membership was at Williamstown United Methodist Church.

He leaves to carry on the impact of his life to his two sons: Kyle Reed Hedrick, Jr. of Carney, MD, William Wayne Hedrick of Kingston, TN; his three daughters: Mary Jo Wodarczyk of Middle River, MD, Patti Lynn Dreisch of Rostraver Township, PA and Tina Lee Moore of Dry Ridge, KY, along with 14 grandchildren: Erin, Megan, Jennifer, Tanya, Jason, Lisa, Kelly, Brian, Scott, Joshua, Michael, Bethany, Eric, Chris and 15 great-grandchildren: Skylar, Lucas, Ela-Rose, Alexandria, Norah, Amelia, Ember, Atticus, Wesley, Alex, Liv, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Mia and Noah.  In addition to his wife of 71 years, Betty Jo Hedrick, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Valerie Elaine Hedrick; a brother: Clarence Clark Hedrick, Jr. and two sisters: Vivian Long and Helen Meadows.

Visitation will be Monday December 30, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Greenville United Methodist Church in Greenville, WV. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 with Rev. Heather Bunting and Rev. Wayne Hedrick officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife and infant daughter, Valerie,  at the Greenville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
