Larry Gene Roberts

Larry “Flea” Gene Roberts, 68, of Owenton, KY, passed away Friday June 18, 2021 at his residence.  He was born Monday May 18, 1953 in Grant County, KY, he was the son of the late George Burns and Virtie Bowling Roberts.

On April 11, 1980, “Flea”, as he was affectionately known by everyone, was married to the former Linda Sue Partin; she survives. He was a welder and diesel mechanic by trade, having worked for Wilson Diesel for many years.  He loved fishing, bar-b-q’ing and being a “junk yard dog”.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Linda, include two daughters: Belinda Jill (B.J.) Sharp of Owenton, Amanda Sue Roberts of Somerset; two sons: Bobby Gene Roberts of Carrollton, Larry Gene Robert, Jr. of Corbin ; two sisters: Sherry (late Randall) Cook of Rutledge, TN and Margaret “Sissy” (Kevin) Lawson of Owenton. Seven grandchildren also survive: Adalia Robinson, Lyndsey Sharp, Ruby Sharp, Autumn Sharp, Whitney Sharp, Kasey Roberts and Brittany Roberts.

Visitation will be Tuesday June 22, 2021 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes (Williamstown location) .  Funeral services will begin at 3:00 with Rev. Ben Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
