Lavonna Pflughaupt Herr

Mrs. LaVonna Marlene Pflughaupt Herr, a Crittenden resident, passed away at the Boonespring Nursing Home in Union, KY on December 8, 2023 at the age of 83.  She was the wife of Calvin Frank Herr.

LaVonna was born on August 6, 1940 in Litchfield, MN to the late Arlin and Lucille Thomsen Pflughaupt.  She was a homemaker most of her life and a member of the Good Sheperd Lutheran Church in Florence, KY.  She enjoys watching game shows, working crossword puzzles, playing the piano and organ, canning, cooking, sewing, gardening and working in her strawberry patch.

In addition to her husband Calvin, she is survived by one son, Jim (Janet) Herr of Dry Ridge, KY, one daughter, Marsha (Dwayane) Smith of Crittenden, KY, one sister, Bonita Galles of Hutchinson, MN, two grandchildren and cats Boris and Baby.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy and Todd Herr.

A memorial service will be Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 10am at the Good Sheperd Lutheran Church, 9066 Gunpowder Rd., Florence, KY 41042.  Memorials are suggested to the church.
