Linda Mains Covey

Mrs. Linda Mains Covey, a Williamstown resident, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Grant Co. on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the age of 70.  She was the widow of Michael "Mickey" Covey.

On November 12, 1949, Linda was born in Falmouth, KY to the late Walter Mains and Rozella Ashcraft Mains.  On July 10, 1970 she was united in marriage to Mickey Covey.  Linda is survived by one son, Christopher Covey of Louisville, KY, one daughter, Lori (Kyle) Souder of Williamstown, KY, two sisters, Kay (Dennis) Covey of Dry Ridge, KY, Pam (Jay) Patton of Williamstown, KY, one brother in law Bobby Snell of Erlanger, KY, and two grandsons, Austin Michael Kidwell and Lucas Scott Souder.  In addition to her late husband Mickey, she was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Snell.

Linda was an employee of Wal-Mart in Dry Ridge of over 30 years.  She is a member of the Stewartsville Baptist Church, she loved to read and listen to country music.  She was well known for her chicken and dumplins as well as her green bean dishes.  She is described as a loving mom whom believed strongly that Jesus Christ was her savior and Lord.  Her favorite pass-time was spending time with her two grandsons whom she loved dearly.

Visitation will be Friday, July 24, 2020 from 11am-1pm at the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge, KY.  Funeral services will be private with Rev. Howard Chipman officiating.  She will be laid to rest next to her loving husband in Jonesville Cemetery.
