Linda Carol Murphy

Ms. Linda Carol Murphy of Williamstown, KY. passed away Thursday, June 11 after a short stay at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 63.  Ms. Murphy was born July 17, 1956 in Owenton, KY. to the late Hoy and Anna Mae Tate Moore.  Ms. Murphy was a certified nursing assistant for St. Elizabeth Healthcare and a former Head Start teacher for the Williamstown Independent School District.  She was a long time member of the Williamstown Baptist Church.  Even though in recent years she was not able to attend regularly she kept in close contact with many of the members.  Ms. Murphy enjoyed collecting dolls and bluegrass music.  She also enjoyed listening to country music and two of her favorites were Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn.  Ms. Murphy is fondly remembered by her family for her love for her grandchildren and son in whom she was very proud.  She also dearly loved her cat, Missy.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Murphy was preceded in death by a brother: Michael Eugene Moore.

Ms. Murphy is survived by her son: Steve A. White of Williamstown, KY., a sister: Debbie Ann Sexton of Williamstown, KY., a brother: Nicholas Wayne Moore of Dry Ridge, KY., a grandson: Jayden Conner White of Williamstown, KY., a granddaughter: Kennedy Elizabeth White of Cincinnati, OH.

Funeral services for Ms. Linda Carol Murphy will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 17 in the chapel of the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main Street, Williamstown, KY. 41097 with Rev. Howard Chipman officiating.  Visitation will also be Wednesday, June 17 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery.
