Linda Newton Young

Linda Newton Young, a Corinth resident, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ft. Thomas, KY on Monday, March 13, 2023 at the age of 69.  She was the widow of the late James R. Young.

Linda was born on March 24, 1953 to the late Calvin Newton and Cassie King Newton.  She married the late James R. Young.  She was a retired nurses aid for Grant Center in Williamstown, KY and the Owenton Hospital.  She enjoyed reading the bible, watching conservative TV and viewing wildlife.  Her family describes her as a stubborn, but very hardworking woman who dedicated her life to her jobs and raising her sons.  Since retirement, she spent every free moment with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Linda is survived by two sons, Matt (Paige) Allen, Micah (Ivy) Ingram, three brothers, Jimmy (Patsy) Newton, Duane (Faye) Newton, Greg Newton, two half brothers, Michael Newton and Terry Moore, two sisters, Carol (Bruce) Harrison, Phyllis Jarvis, half sister, DeMaris Hartmier, ten grandchildren and two pet dogs Tucker and Conner. She was preceded in death by her late husband James, a son Jimmy and one brother Farrell Newton.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family and announced here at a later date.
