Mr. Lloyd Brann Kenner, a Williamstown resident, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the age of 93. Lloyd was born on March 10, 1930 to the late James Kenner and Mary Brann Kenner. He graduated from Morgan High School in Pendleton County and joined the U.S. Army on Nov. 3, 1950. While in the Army, Lloyd was deployed to the Korean war where he faithfully served our nation. While serving in a tank battalion in Korea, Lloyd suffered injuries and medically retired from the Army. He received the Korean Service Medal with bronze campaign star as well as the purple heart. He came back home to Kentucky and attended the University of KY while recovering from his injuries. Not allowing his permanent injuries to stop him, he graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree and went to work for Westinghouse as a salesman where he spent 30 more years of his life. Upon retiring from the sales industry he continued in the work force as a realtor. Lloyd was a remarkably smart and intelligent man whom was prideful, determined and would never allow his injuries to stop him from his life goals. He was a member of the Col. Clay Masonic Lodge #159 for 64 years, he loved to golf, go fishing, travel, and watch U.K. basketball and football. In his free time he cherished the time spent with his siblings and nieces and nephews. Lloyd is survived by two sisters, Fay Webster of Williamstown, KY, Joyce Bishop of Independence, KY and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Kenner and one sister Connie Lawrence. Visitation will be Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 10am-11:30am at the Elliston Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. A masonic service will start at 11:30 with the funeral service immediately thereafter. Pastor Faron Franklin will be officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at the KY Veteran's Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY at 1pm. Memorials are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Hospice, Williamstown Christian Church or the KY Veteran's Cemetery Wreath Fund.
