Lloyd David Williams

March 4, 1930 — December 29, 2021

Lloyd David Williams was born March 4, 1930 in Brookfield, IL and passed away December 29, 2021 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 91.  He was the son of the late James Stanley and Marie Chartoir Williams.

On Aug. 18, 1990 Lloyd was united in marriage to Margaret Elizabeth Wilson Williams, she survives.  Additionally, he is survived by a daughter: Sandra Draper Wotring of Naples, FL; 3 sons: Marc Williams of Stevensville, MI, Craig Williams of Stevensville, MI and Scott Williams of Sodus, MI; a grandson: Shane Draper (Samantha) of South Haven, MI; 2 great grandchildren: Rylie and Bronson Draper; a stepson: Ron Christner (Cyndi) of AuTrain, MI; a stepdaughter: Carol Carr (Pat Bradley) of Walton; 3 stepgrandchildren: Jennifer Tritschler (Kevin Colwell) of Walton, Tyler Carr (Leann) of Walton and Taryne Case (Ricky) of Dry Ridge; and 6 step great grandchildren: Cortlandt Tristchler, Ashlandt Tritschler, Emmalyn Carr, Griffin Carr, Ryan Case and Sloane Case.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his first wife: Cathleen Kelly Williams; a son-in-law: Ron Wotring; a step son-in-law: Todd Carr; 2 sisters: Kathryn Osterreicher (Tony) and Gladys Trapp (Chuck); and a sister-in-law: Shirley Ochs (Fred).

He was a retired Juvenile Probation Officer for Berrien County, Michigan. He graduated from Berrien Springs High School and then went on to serve his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps where he fought in the Korean War.  After he was discharged from the military he went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI with Summa Cum Laude honors.  He was member of the First Congregational Church of Coloma, MI as well as the American Legion Post 85 and the Korean Veterans Club, both of Berrien Springs, MI.

Growing up Lloyd loved trapping and fishing with his dad. As he grew older Lloyd enjoyed gardening and he was an avid reader.  One of his greatest enjoyments came from spending time with his wife, Margaret, watching old black and white movies, listening to big band music and dancing.  He was also well known for being a great story teller.  He also loved to write poetry.

Memorial services will be held at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
