Louise Bailey

Louise Bailey , 66, of Sparta, KY, passed away Saturday May 23, 2020 at her residence. Born November 20, 1953 in Powell Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Martha Ashley and William McDaniel.

On November 20, 1969, Louise was united in marriage to David Bailey; he survives. Louise work for Itron Meters in Owenton, KY before their closing and re-locating. Her interests included working and manicuring the yard and flower garden and shopping; she had a particular interest in the fascination of hummingbirds. However, her greatest love was being a committed wife, mother and grandmother. She modeled her love for the Lord in every walk of life. She was a member of the Concord Pentecostal Church in Verona.

In addition to her husband of 51 year, Rev. David Bailey, she leaves to cherish her memory, two sons: Vendus “Pal” Bailey of Sparta, KY, Marcus  (Carrie) Bailey of Sparta, KY; one daughter: Frances “Sis” (Tommy) Knox of Carrollton, KY; one sister: Sally Sexton of Powell Co., KY; two brothers: Harry Sexton and Edward Sexton. Five grandchildren, whom affectionately loved her as "Mamaw", also survive: Amber Bailey, Ashlee Bailey, Hayden Bailey, Bonnica Kindall and Patrick Knox, along with one great-granddaughter: Audrey Kindall. She was preceded in death by one brother: Dewey Johnson and two sisters: Katherine Ingram and Halley Jane Holland.

Graveside services will be Thursday May 28, 2020 at 12 Noon at Concord Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Verona, KY with Rev. Ronnie Steele officiating.
