Mrs. Louise House Traylor of Sadieville, KY. passed away Thursday, March 18 after a brief illness in the Baptist Health Medical Center in Lexington, KY. at the age of 77. Mrs. Traylor was born February 4, 1944 in Owen County, KY. to the late Albert Thomas House and Mary Frances Keith House. Mrs. Traylor was a homemaker and farmer and a longtime member of the New Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Traylor was a devoted homemaker, spending many of her years working alongside her family in tobacco patches and cattle pastures. A devout Baptist, she regularly attended services at the New Friendship church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Traylor was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Warren Traylor. She was preceded in death by brothers: Walter House who had lived in Owen County, KY. and Frank House who also had lived in Owen County, KY.
Mrs. Traylor is survived by a son: Jeff Traylor of Sadieville, KY., a daughter: Teresa Hargett and her husband R. J. of Sadieville, KY., grandchildren: Zach Traylor of Erlanger, KY., Shelby Traylor of Cynthiana, KY., Eli Hargett of Sadieville, KY., Jacob Hargett of Sadieville, KY., a brother: Vernon House of Lawrenceburg, KY., sisters: Joyce Mattingly of Frankfort, KY., Alice Hammond of Owenton, KY., Mary Martin of Owen County, KY. and Helen Alexander of Owen County, KY. Mrs. Traylor is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Louise House Traylor will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, March 21 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, 440 Old Corinth-Owenton Road, Corinth, KY. 41010 with Rev. Dennis Jackson officiating. Visitation will be there also on Sunday, March 21 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry, KY. Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
