Lucille Osborne Mccune

Wavel Lucille Osborne McCune was born July 10, 1930 in Elliston, Kentucky and passed away May 20, 2022 in Williamstown, Kentucky at the age of 91.  She was the daughter of the late Gorman Thadeus and Raymalee Beach Osborne.

Lucille was a homemaker and was very active in her church.  At a young age she was baptized at the Lawrenceville Baptist Church where she remained a member until she became a member at the Williamstown Baptist Church.  She served as a clerk while at Lawrenceville Baptist and later was a very active member of Williamstown Baptist, especially with the Super Seniors.  She enjoyed making an impact in the community through volunteering with Helping Hands and as a huge supporter of the Gideons International.  She was also an avid reader and was known to read anything she got her hands on.

Lucille was preceded in death her husband, Chester Luke McCune, in 1993.  She was also preceded in death by her 4 brothers: Daniel "Bob" Osborne, Marvin Osborne, Guy Osborne and Bazel Osborne; and 5 sisters: Mildred Jones, Carleen Hampton, Zelma "Toni" Noss, Elizabeth Morgan and Juanita Snell.

She is survived by her daughter: Pamela (Jeff) Blackwell of Huntington, WV; two sisters: Sylvia Parker of Lexington and Mavis Dimmitt of Springboro, OH; seven grandchildren: Ryan Lubbers, Alex (Sammie) Lubbers, Kyle (Hillary) Lubbers, Adam "Nick" (Samantha) Lubbers, Conner Blackwell, Brianna (Paul) Martin and Sierra Rose Blackwell; and seven great grandchildren: Maddie, Lexi, Lucas, Corbin, Tessa, Gemma and Holden.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, May 27, 2022 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown.  Visitation will also be Friday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the New Vine Run Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
