Luellen "Lue" Hope Hutchinson

Luellen Hope Hutchinson , 79, of Owenton, formerly of Falmouth, KY, died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday October 8, 2020. Born on July 21, 1941 in Bristol, CT, she was the daughter of the late Joseph William and Gladys Elizabeth Butler Pelky.

Lue was married to Roy Glenn Hutchinson; he preceded her in death on January 5, 2010. She retired in 2003, after 14 years as Customer Service Manager with Wal-Mart in Dry Ridge. Her hobbies and interests included sewing, quilting, traveling and reading but her greatest satisfaction came from helping the needs of Veterans and their spouses and children. She was a member of the American Gold Star Mothers and New Columbus Baptist Church.

She leaves to celebrate her legacy, three daughters: Christine (Mike) Bowe of Cincinnati, OH, Donna (Pat) Hallock of Enterprise, AL, Rachelle (Marsha) Ketron of Owenton, KY; five sons: Theodore (Kathleen) Butts of Dumfries, VA, Rodney (Joanne) Hutchinson of Mt. Zion, KY, Rick Hutchinson of Erlanger, KY, Ronald (Pattie) Hutchinson of Falmouth, KY and Roy Hutchinson of Newport, KY. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren (too numerous to name), whom affectionately knew her as “Grandma Lue” also survive. She was preceded in death by one son: William Butts (Gulf War Casualty) and one sister: Jean Elizabeth Botelle.

Visitation will be Tuesday October 13, 2020 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes (Williamstown location). Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 with Rev. Brad Vincent officiating. Burial will follow in KY Veterans Cemetery – North with arrival at 12 Noon.
