Lula Fenton Collins

Mrs. Lula Fenton Collins of Latonia, KY. passed away Monday, May 25 at her residence at the age of 91.  Mrs. Collins was born in Williamstown, KY. March 19, 1929 to the late Charles Duncan and Goldie Ashcraft Duncan.  Mrs. Collins for many years worked in a day care and she was a long time dedicated member of the Ashland Avenue Baptist Church in Covington, KY. where she provided nursery care for children and infants for upwards of 40 years.  Mrs. Collins is fondly remembered by her family for her hard work as a homemaker and her love for her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, reading and even during her final days she remained sharp working crossword puzzles.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband: Paul Leonard Collins on February 19, 2012.

Mrs. Collins is survived by 4 daughters: Paula Gatewood and her husband Duane of Dry Ridge, KY., Barbara Kelly and her husband James of Griffin, GA., Judy Dahms (Randy McVay) of Demossville, KY., Lisa Geiger and her husband Michael of Florence, KY., 2 sons: David Collins and his wife Kelly of Covington, KY., Donnie Collins of Covington, KY.  She has 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Fenton Collins will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, May 30 in the chapel of the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main Street, Williamstown, KY. 41097.  Visitation will also be on Saturday, May 30 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery.  Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Lymphoma/Leukemia Society, in care of the funeral home.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions and the new reopening requirements we will be limiting our building occupancy to 33% of normal capacity, so please be prepared for a possible line as we will be monitoring the occupancy. We will also be strictly adhering to the 6 feet social distancing requirements.  We also wish to inform you that face coverings will be mandatory.
