Margaret Mae Doane

Margaret Mae Ruthruff Doane was born November 20, 1924 and passed away March 14, 2020 in Florence, Kentucky at the age of 95.  She was the daughter of the late Milton Sanford and Opal Belle Hobbs Ruthruff.

On Jan. 13, 1947 Margaret was united in marriage to Audrey Doane who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: David, Bud, and Ronald Ruthruff.

Margaret is survived by her son Wayne (Sue) Doane of Burlington; 3 grandchildren: Brett Doane, Kristin Doane and Kadee (Jeff) Spahn; 2 great grandchildren: Jacob and Kristopher Spahn; 2 cousins: Warner "Wink" Hobbs (Sally and nephew John) and Helen Hedger; sister-in-law: Reva Ruthruff; and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret was a retired floor supervisor for Hyde Park Clothing Co. in Newport and also worked at McDonald's and Hardees in Latonia.  She was a charter member of the Lakeside Christian Church.  She was also a longtime member of Rosebud Chapter, OES #139, the White Shrine Chapter #21, and Queen Esther of the Emerant.

Graveside services are tentatively set for 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
