Margie Lou Greene

Margie L. Greene was born July 28, 1941 in Union, Kentucky and passed away November 28, 2023 in Warsaw, Kentucky at the age of 82.  She was the daughter of Harry Irvin and Goldie Mae Scudder Gullion.

On Tuesday, Margie was reunited with the love of her life, Larry Wilson Greene, who she married May 26,1962.  In Addition to her husband she was preceded in death by four brothers Emery Gullion, Clarence “Shaw” Gullion, Johnny Gullion and Joby Gullion; and four sisters Anita Ryle, Helen Maxwell, Hazel Brashear and Margaret Sue Gullion.

Margie was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always put family first and leaves a legacy of unconditional love behind. She is survived by a son Wade Greene (Gail Marie) of Verona; three daughters: Connie Sue Slayback (Bill) of Florence, Bonnie Lou Greene of Florence and Tonya Mae Speirs (Jason) of Stuart, FL; 7 grandchildren: Brenon Robert Russell (Lauren), Ashley Taylor Russell, Jason Michael Russell, Larry Wilson Greene, Carson Keller Greene, Margaret Rose Greene and Evelyn Lucille Greene; and four great grandchildren: Beckett Russell, Bayler Russell, Bowin Russell and Jayden Palmore Blevins.

Margie was a retired accounts receivable rep for Kratz Wilde in Covington and a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church in Verona.  In her spare time she enjoyed crafts and especially loved painting, she also loved gardening and flowers.  But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Visitation will be 11 AM – 1 PM, Monday, December 4, 2023 at Hamilton – Stanley Funeral Home in Verona. Graveside services will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery.
