Marion "Lester" Leslie Smith, Jr.

Marion “Lester” Smith Jr. of Nicholasville, KY was born December 16, 1947 in Williamstown, KY and died Friday, July 5, 2024 at his residence in Nicholasville at the age of 76 years.

He was the son of the late Marion Lee and Martha Eloise Combs Smith. He was a tree trimmer for Townsend Tree Service, he enjoyed fishing Lake Williamstown and Falmouth and loved to watch Wrestling. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one step-son, William McCoy III; three brothers, Kenny Smith, Tommy Smith, and Larry Combs; and one sister, Anna Smith.

He is survived by his fiancé, Alice Willoughby McCoy of Nicholasville; one son, Steven Smith of Covington; two daughters, Louise Hornback and Michelle Smith both of Northern KY; three step-daughters, Megan (Bill) Mink and Tammy (Jim) Fetters both of Nicholasville, and Angela McCoy of Prestonsburg; many grandchildren, including Evan Smith and Elizabeth Hornback; one brother, Charlie Smith of Covington; and one sister, Patricia (Gary) Brown of Elsmere.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Friday July 12, 2024 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown KY followed by burial in the Williamstown Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00am-1:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
