Marion "Shorty" Adams

Marion “Shorty” Adams of Crittenden, KY was born Oct. 15, 1938 in Williamstown, KY and died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020 in Florence, KY at the age of 82.

He was the son of the late Arthur Stanley and Freda Marie Work Adams and was a farmer a retired freight handler for Consolidated Freight Company, as well as enjoyed working as a carriage driver in downtown Cincinnati and in the Acadia National Park in Maine. On Jan. 14, 1961 he was united in marriage to his wife, Barbara Lucas Adams. He was a member of the Bluegrass Horse Pullers, the Bluegrass Pony Pullers, and was a Kentucky Colonel. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Arthur Allan and Franklin D. Adams.

Surviving are wife Barbara, 2 sons, Kevin (Kristi) Adams of Marshall, IL and Kraig (Elizabeth) Adams of Crittenden, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and a sister, Anna Marie (Layle) Evans of Crittenden.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown followed by burial in the Gardnersville Cemetery. Visitation will also be Saturday, 11:00am-2:00pm at the funeral home.

Due to COVID restrictions all visitors must wear mask while in attendance at the funeral home, and building capacity will be limited to 50% during visitation and funeral services.
