Mary Lenox Clemons

Mary Thomas Lenox Clemons, a Williamstown resident, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the age of 81.  She was the widow of Howard Charles Clemons.

Mary was a retired Registered Nurse from the Northern KY Health Department of 20+ years.  She formerly worked for St. Elizabeth Hospitals. She was a devout member of the St. William's Catholic Church most of her life.  She was a former board member of the Grant County Library, a volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul, and a member of the Grant County dulcimer club.  She loved going to the movies, gardening, cooking, but must of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and attend their sports and activities.

On June 6, 1937, Mary was born to the late John Thomas Lenox and Mary David O'neil in Richmond, KY.  On April 20, 1968 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Howard C. Clemons. Her heart was broken when her husband departed this life on February 12, 1996 after a battle with cancer.

Mary is survived by one son, Daniel Howard Clemons (Kelly) of Williamstown, KY, two daughters, Milissa L. Sullivan (Donnie) of Warsaw, KY, Pamela A. Saylor (Leo) of Crittenden, KY, one brother Timothy Lenox (the late Linda Lenox) of Danville, KY, one Brother in law Robert Paquette (the late Julia Paquette) of Melbourne, FL, and eleven grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 10am-11:30am at the St. Williams Catholic Church in Williamstown, KY.  Funeral Mass will also be at the church at 11:30am.  Father Damian Hils will be officiating the mass.  Burial will follow at the Williamstown Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the St. Williams Catholic Church Building Fund or St. Vincent DePaul Society.  Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home of Williamstown, KY is handling the arrangements.
