Mary Joyce Iseral Franks

Mary Joyce Iseral Franks passed away September 26, 2024 at the age of 92. She had a contagious smile and fulfilling life of selfless devotion to others.  She was a terrific mother and friend to all.

She is preceded in death by Bobby Franks, husband and father of her children for 52 years, two sons, Dennis Franks and Gary Franks. She is survived by her six children: Donna Kraemer, Keith Franks, Michael Franks, Mark Franks, Starla Franks and Angel Joy.  Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive, all of whom lovingly called her “Mamaw”, “Mimi” and “Grandma”. Mary also leaves behind her caregiver of several years, Theresa Greer, who held a special bond with her.  Mary will be remembered for many things but the love she showed her family and her love for gospel music will definitely live on.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

It was Mary’s wish not to have a funeral viewing service and we, as her children, must honor that.  She will be laid to rest in Hill Crest Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
