Mary Lou Kennedy

Mrs. Mary Lou Poland Kennedy, a Williamstown resident and formerly of Big Bone, passed away at the Boonespring Nursing Home in Union, KY on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the age of 89.  She was the widow of Evan Junior Kennedy.

Mrs. Kennedy was born in Owenton, KY to the late Joseph Poland and Eva Farley on November 20, 1932.  She was a former waitress for the White House Tavern, Flying J's Truckstop and the Stavros Pizza House in Leesburg, FL.  She loved to vacation and spend time in Florida.

Mary is survived by her stepmother, Mae Poland of Glencoe, KY, one son, Mike Kennedy (Susie) of Williamstown, KY, one daughter, Diana Coomer (Dudley, Jr.) of Williamstown, KY, one sister, Sandy Brown (Michael) of Glencoe, KY, twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  In addition to her husband E. Junior Kennedy, Mary was preceded in death by two sons, Charles and Bruce, one grandson Robert Lister and her favorite dog, Misty.

Visititation will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 11am-1pm at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY.  Funeral services will be at 1pm.  Burial will follow at the Glencoe cemetery in Glencoe, KY.
