Mary Elizabeth Sanders

Mary Elizabeth Brown Sanders , 97, of Franklin, OH, formerly of Grant County, KY entered into her eternal home Monday November 15, 2021 at Tapestry Senior Living in Springboro, OH.  Born on July 20, 1924 in Versailles, KY; she was the daughter of the late Durand and Fannie Lillian Stokely Brown.

Mary graduated from high school in June of 1942 and married Mennon Sanders in November of '42; he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and housewife and dedicated her life to raising and nurturing her family.  She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Kettering, OH.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons: David (Char) Sanders of Franklin, OH, John Sanders of Franklin, OH; one daughter: June Shawhan of Falmouth, KY.  Seven grandchildren also survive; Sherry (Brian) Miller of Fairborn, OH, Michael Sanders of Enon, OH, Dustin Sanders of Enon, OH, Joseph Shawhan of Falmouth, KY, Jennifer Shawhan of Falmouth, KY, Angie (Mike) Ebbing of Troy, OH, Andrew (Jennifer) Sanders of Lewisburg, KY, along with 5 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday November 18, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Versailles Cemetery, located at 251 South Locust Street    Versailles, KY    40383
