Melissa Dawn Spicer

Melissa Dawn Spicer , 51, of Glencoe, KY, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday January 21, 2022.  Born June 2, 1970 in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of Edith Spicer Biddle and the late Billy D. Sexton.

Melissa worked at L’Oréal in Florence.  She was a 1989 graduate of Grant Co. High School.  Being a NASCAR enthusiast, she loved tailgating at the races; she enjoyed listening to all kind of music and will long be remembered at work for bringing in big bags of candy for all the employees.  At an early age she was baptized at New Bethel Baptist Church, where she attended.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother: Edith Spicer Biddle; one son: Dustin Spicer of Nicholasville, KY; aunts: Ginger Porter, Debbie Lothridge, Ada Gross, Coleen Bailey; uncles: David Spicer and Lenny Spicer, along with numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Vernon and Ebbie Spicer and an uncle: Buddy Spicer.

Visitation will be Thursday January 27, 2022 from 11:00 – 1:00 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00; burial will follow in the Glencoe Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Melissa’s memory directly to the funeral home.
