Michael Lee Baker

Michael Baker, a Georgetown resident and formerly of Verona, KY, peacefully passed at his residence on Friday, January 3, 2025 at the age of 81.  He was the husband of Cindy Baker.

Michael was born in Cincinnati, OH on November 22, 1943 to the late Arthur Baker and Mary Beel Baker.  He was united in marriage on August 1, 1981 to Cindy Baker.  He was a mechanical engineer for over 40 years at Rotex Inc. in Cincinnati, OH.  He was a member of Southland Christian Church and a former deacon at Community Family Church.  He was a former baseball and softball player. He loved fishing, camping, hunting, farming, raising cattle and vacationing in the mountains.

In addition to his loving wife Cindy, Michael is survived by two sons, Michael Scott Baker (Mary) of Union, KY, Brian Baker (Jenny) of Georgetown, KY, one brother, Robert Baker (Sue) of Winchester, OH, nine grandchildren and four great-grand children.  He was preceded in death by two daughters, Kimberly Evans, Jen Bates and sister Joyce Baker Lanham.

Visitation will be Monday, January 13, 2024 from 4:00PM - 6:00PM with a Celebration of Life beginning at 6:00 PM.  Services will be held at Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY.
