Moya Denise Abercrombie

Moya Denise Abercrombie, 68, of Williamstown, KY passed away Thursday October 21, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Edgewood. Born Saturday November 22, 1952 in Norton, VA (Wise County) she was the daughter of the late Darrell and Ruth Boggs Collins.

In 1994, Moya was united in marriage to Roger Abercrombie; he preceded her in death on January 8, 2017.  She was a committed homemaker, mother and grandmother…lovingly called “Nanny” by her grandchildren. She loved cooking; she enjoyed, sewing, crafts, interior decorating, and collecting antiques, but she will best be remembered for her uncanny ability to make people laugh with her comedian-style personality.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son: Greg (Susan) Roland of Dry Ridge, KY; one brother: Mike Collins of Kingsport, TN; two sisters: Trish Roark of Crittenden, KY and Debbie Roark.  Three grandchildren also survive: Cody Roland, Emily Roland Ingrassellino and Abigail Roland, along with three great-grandchildren: Paisley Berger, Penelope Berger and Ryan Ingrassellino, with another great-child to be born in April.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.  Once the date and time are finalized, this webpage will reflect all updated information.
