Myra Lou Nicholson

Myra Lou Souder Nicholson was born January 8, 1934 in Corinth, Kentucky and passed away December 1, 2024 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 90.  She was the daughter of the late Bennie and Dorothy Mae Wilson Souder.

Marcy, as she was better known, was a 1952 graduate of Corinth High School.  She was a longtime member of Mason Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher.  She was currently a member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church.  Marcy was an avid reader, especially the Bible.  She got her greatest joy from spending time with her family.

On January 18, 1953, Marcy was united in marriage to the love of her life, Charles E. Nicholson, who preceded her in death in 2000.  She is survived by three sons: Steve (Patty) Nicholson of Williamstown, Duane (Vickie) Nicholson of Williamstown and Dale (Janine) Nicholson of Lexington; two sisters-in-law: Florence Souder and Juanita Souder; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Bill and Faye Prewitt; 9 grandchildren: Greg (Jamie) NIcholson, Chris (Jamie) Nicholson, Jason Nicholson, Melissa (Christian) Schroeder, Leila (Brian) Baity, Daniel (Hannah) Nicholson, Taylor (Ryan) Bailey, Kim Middleton and Brian Middleton; 17 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and three special caregivers: Wanda, Brandi and Candy.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her three brothers: Elton, Edward and Harold Souder; and her three sisters: Margarette Colson, Betty Delaney and Edith Latimer.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, December 6, 2024 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, 30 S. Main St., Dry Ridge, KY 41035.  Visitation will resume 10:00 - 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge.  Burial will follow in the New Columbus Cemetery in Corinth.
