Myrtle “Myrt” Margaret (Noem) Collins of Florence, Kentucky, formerly of Williamstown, Kentucky went home to our Lord on Friday, May 29, 2020.

Myrt and her twin sister, Mildred, were born near Erwin, South Dakota at the farm of their parents, Julius and Alvina (Lilleskov) Noem.  They were baptized at East Bethania Lutheran Church.  They attended a country school near Erwin, South Dakota and graduated from Bryant High School in 1949.

After graduation, Myrtle moved to Kentucky where she met and married Richard Collins on September 29, 1950.  She worked in the insurance business until her retirement.  She enjoyed playing guitar with her husband in several country music bands.  She and Richard loved to travel and regularly attended Noem Family reunions.  Her pranks and laughter will forever ring in our memories.  She was greatly loved by family, friends, and co-workers.  She had a deep curiosity, love and devotion to her Lord and Saviour.

Myrtle is survived by three sisters, Norma “Laney” Lutz of Waxahachie, TX Joyce Noem Litz of Sioux Falls, SD and Mildred “Millie” Hotchkiss of Humboldt, SD, one sister-in-law, Virginia Noem of Independence, KY and numerous niece and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Thursday July 30, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Stanley Funeral Homes - Williamstown location. A scattering of her ashes will follow in Williamstown Cemetery.
