Nadine Beach Ballard , 81, of Dry Ridge, KY, died Sunday December 29, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care – Williamstown. Born on May 4, 1943 at Booth Hospital in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Olive Minerva Ward Beach.
In October of 1960, she was united in marriage to Lawrence William Ballard; he preceded her in death on September 6, 2021. Nadine lived a fascinating and adventurous life. As a beautician, she operated a beauty shop in Glencoe, KY. She will long be remembered as a lady “that could do anything.” She worked in the insurance and real estate field, which inspired her to remodel houses; she became very skilled in plumbing. Not being afraid to take on any task she lovingly earned the title of “The Cable Guy”. She and her late husband loved traveling in their RV, especially after retirement, spending much time walking the beaches of Florida and soaking in the sunrays as often as possible. Without a doubt, her greatest legacy will be undeniable devotion to her husband; “He was her life”, coupled with her love for the entire family. Because of how appreciative she was of her bloodline, anytime there was mention of any of her cousins, sisters, aunts or uncles, she lightened up with great delight.
Nadine leaves to carry on her legacy, one daughter: Julie (Barry) Martin of North Port, FL; two sons: Tom (Patty) Ballard of Dry Ridge, KY, Robert (Janice) Ballard of Latonia, KY; two sisters: Shelby Yancey of Crescent Springs, KY and Rita Beach (Kathryn Gail) of Bethel, OH, along with six grandchildren: Zachary Martin, Tyler Martin, Joseph Martin, Ryan Ballard, Charlotte Hollis Jon Hollis, Jr. and six great-grandchildren: Bailey Martin, Adelaide Martin, Isabella Nadine Ballard, Henry Bohart, Aiden Bohart and Isaiah Bohart.
Visitation will be Friday January 3, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 with Rev. Howard Chipman officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
Memorial contributions may be made in Nadine’s memory to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
