Nancy Powell

Nancy Powell, a Warsaw resident, passed away early Saturday morning, October 29th, 2022 at Gallatin Nursing and Rehab Facility in Warsaw, Kentucky at the age of 85. She was born in Stewartsville, Kentucky on Tuesday, December 1st, 1936 to the late Lee and Ella Lawrence. Along with her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lee Lawrence, and her grandson, Joshua McGough.

Nancy was a member of Stewartsville Baptist Church where she was originally baptized and, beginning from a young age, played piano during church services for close to 10 years. She was a former Brave, graduating from Grant County High School before starting her career at Cincinnati Bell. Nancy began working for Cincinnati Bell in her early 20's, holding a number of different positions throughout the company until finally retiring at the end of her career in 1995 as a Toll Fraud Investigator. She devoted her life's work to facilitating the communication that we take for granted and use every single day in our personal and business lives.

Nancy leaves a legacy of her only daughter and child, Cindy McGough of Florence, KY; as well as her grandchildren, Jennifer McGough of Florence and Justin McGough of Williamstown.

Services for Nancy will be held privately through Stanley Funeral Homes, adhering to the wishes of both Nancy and her family.
