Naomi Smoot Ackman

Naomi Smoot Ackman of Crittenden, KY was born January 12, 1923 in Crittenden, KY and died Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Park Hills, KY at the age of 95.

She was the daughter of the late Curtis Bush and Lola Mann Smoot, a homemaker and former waitress in the Crittenden Community, and attended the Crittenden Baptist church. She was a member of the Penn Hook Senior Citizens and the Tuesday Morning Bible Study Group at Crittenden Baptist Church. Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening, quilting, and crocheting. On September 2, 1944 she was united in marriage to her late husband, Charles Alvin Ackman. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Wilmeth Smoot.

Surviving is 2 daughters, Sue Ackman (Robert Cox) of Park Hills, KY and Jo Kuth (John) of Florence, KY; 3 grandchildren, Joseph Kuth and Stephen Kuth both of Alexandria, KY, and Kari Winn of Elletsville, IN; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Crittenden followed by burial in the Hill Crest Cemetery. Visitation will 10:00am-2:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
