Opal Rose Jewell

Opal "Rosie" Jewell passed away at her residence after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at the age of 34.

Rosie was a member of the Williamstown Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Her family describes her as being a loving and caring mother whom cherished every minute with her children.  She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all whom knew and loved her.

Rosie is survived by her father Harold (Sabina) D. Jewell of Georgetown, KY, mother, Wanda (Harold) A. Brookshire of Crittenden, KY, two daughters, Wanda Jewell of Cleves, OH, Elizabeth Simpson of Owenton, KY, her fiance, Richard Peterson, grandfather, Bobby Jewell (Joyce) of Williamstown, KY, Larkin Jackson of Verona, KY, two brothers, Jason (Natasha) Jewell of Corinth, KY, Nathaniel Bowling of Somerset, KY, three sisters, Natasha (Dakota) Fredrick of Owenton, KY, Mary Schlarman of Dry Ridge, KY, and Hannah Jewell of Georgetown, KY.   She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Opal Jackson, Mary Jewell, and Jason J.R. Partin.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 11am-1pm at the Williamstown Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the church with Rev. Robert Branscum officiating services.  Rosie will be laid to rest in the Williamstown Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown, KY.
