Ora Mae Halfhill

Ora Mae Young Halfhill was born Oct. 19, 1951 in Owenton, Kentucky and passed away Dec. 31, 2024 at her residence in Corinth, Kentucky.  She was the daughter of the late James William and Almaria Bell Wright Young.

Ora Mae was a self-employed plumber alongside her husband for many years.  They were also avid fishermen together.  She also enjoyed crocheting, gardening and will be remembered by her family for her cooking.  Ora Mae also enjoyed spending time with friends at Ivy's Bar and never met a stranger.  She would claim many of her families friends as her own grandchildren.  She dearly loved her family.

Ora Mae is survived by her son, Daniel Halfhill, of Corinth, her daughter, Kathy Davis, of Corinth, a brother, Dennis Young of Corinth, two grandchildren, Brandy Dyer of Owenton and Chasity Davis of Corinth, and four great grandchildren, C.J. Dyer, Caiden Dyer, Chase Dyer and Carsen Dyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daryl Lee Halfhill, and two brothers, Roscoe Young and James Young.

Visitation will be Tuesday January 21, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes - Williamstown.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00.  Ora Mae will be laid to rest next to her husband, Daryl, in Corinth Cemetery.
