Ora Isabelle Whaley

Ora Isabell Whaley , 96, died Thursday April 23, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Edgewood. Born February 23, 1924 in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Victor and Nancy Bond Steele.

On October 26, 1940, Ora was united in marriage in Walton, KY to Charles Ernest Whaley, Sr.; he preceded her in death on January 22, 2005. She was a housewife and homemaker who loved cooking and saw that as a hobby she loved. She loved her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom affectionately referred to her as “GG”.

Survivors include one grandson: Charles V. Whaley of Hebron, KY; one granddaughter: Shannon (Don) Callahan of Burlington, KY; a daughter-n-law: Linda Whaley of Hebron, KY and five great-grandchildren: Riley Callahan, Molly Callahan, Olivia Whaley, Sophia Whaley and Patrick Whaley. She was preceded in death by her son: Charles Ernest Whaley, Jr. and a brother: Edward Ernest Steele.

Graveside services will be held at New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY at the convenience of the family. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, there be no public visitation.
