Otis Menefee Rider

Mr. Otis Menefee Rider, a Warsaw resident, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at his residence at the age of 82.  He was the husband of Marjorie McNeely Rider.

On February 5, 1939, Menefee was born in Verona, KY to the late Otis Rider and Minnie Raisor Rider.  He was a member of the Scenic View Church of Christ.  He was a carpenter for all his life. Menefee loved vegetable gardening, traveling, loved his dogs and working on small engines.  He loved his family and grandchildren dearly.

In addition to his wife Marjorie of 60 years, he is survived by one daughter, Kimberly (Bruce) Bickett of Flora, IN, two brothers, J.W. (Carol) Rider of Verona, KY, Terry (Jeanie) Rider of Worthville, KY, three sisters, Marilyn (Jim) Wilson of Jamestown, KY, Nancy (Leonard) Wilson of Warsaw, KY, Joyce (Jerry) Roaden of Verona, KY, two grandchildren and one great granddaughter.  Menefee was preceded in death by one sister, Roberta Ratliff.

Visitation will be Friday, May 28, 2021 from 11am-1pm at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY.  Funeral services will follow at 1pm.  Rev. Trent Graves will be officiating.  Burial will be in the Napolean Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the Scenic View Church of Christ.
