Pearl Curtis was born Nov. 20, 1935 in Breathitt Co., Kentucky and passed away Sept. 4, 2023 in Warsaw, Kentucky at the age of 87. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Cleda Mae Bowling McIntosh.
Pearl was a dedicated member of Violet Ridge Church of Christ in Crittenden and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Walton. She was a homemaker and formerly sewed for Queen City Dinette.
On July 18, 1953 Pearl was united in marriage to Kenneth Allen Curtis. He preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1989. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Paul Lee Curtis; a daughter, Karen Oakes; six brothers, Walter, Virgil, Daily, Mitchell and Ben McIntosh and Jesse Bowling; and three sisters, Carmie Stewart, Shirley Noble and Elizabeth Sebastian.
Pearl is survived by two sons: Jeff (Bonnie) Curtis of Dry Ridge and Donald Curtis of Walton; two daughters: Teresa Beach of Dry Ridge and Sharon (Les) Mann of Walton; a brother: Homer Bowling of Jackson; two sisters: Cora Griffith of Booneville and Wilma Hensley of Campton; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5:00 - 9:00 PM, Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday Sept. 8, 2023 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery.
