Pearl Martin

Mrs. Pearl Martin of Crittenden, KY. was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 30 after a brief stay in the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital in Middlesboro, KY. at the age of 84. Mrs. Martin was born February 4, 1934 in Wayland, KY. to the late Elliott Wicker and Beulah Hicks Wicker Nickles. Mrs. Martin was retired from the United States Postal Service where she served as Postmaster in Salyersville, KY. At the time of her passing she was a member of the Sherman Baptist Church. In her spare time, Mrs. Martin enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers and crocheting.

Mrs. Martin is survived by 2 daughters: Donna Gore Bolen of Crittenden, KY., Sherry Gore Hamlin of Tazwell, TN., 1 grandson: Zachary Denny Bolen of Crittenden, KY., a sister: Pauline Nickles Chaffins, 2 brothers: Shannon Nickles and Ancil "Charles" Nickles.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Martin will be conducted 6:00 pm Thursday, November 1 in the chapel of the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 132 South Main Street, Crittenden, KY. 41030 with Rev. David Tucker officiating. Visitation will be there on Thursday, November 1 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. The burial and committal service will be 1:00 pm Friday at the Davidson Memorial Gardens in Allen, KY.
