Peggy Lou Howell

Peggy Lou Howell, a Williamstown resident, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY on Friday, August 9, 2024 at the age of 82.  She was the widow of the late Ralph "Jack" Howell.

Peggy, often called "Peg", was born in Covington, KY on November 28, 1941.  She is a member of the Ludlow Baptist Church.  She formerly worked as a manager in the food industry for almost ten years with McDonald's being her last place of employment.  She was a former manager at the Williamstown Marina where she was known as 'Momma Marina'.   Peggy loved bowling, vacationing at the beach, sewing, fishing, UK Wildcats, Cincinnati Bengals and going to the track to watch horse racing.  Her children and grandchildren loved her homemade vegetable soup and Marzetti.  Her favorite pass-time was spending every free moment with her children and grandchildren, whom notably called her Grandma Peg.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Ralph "Jack" Howell in 2005, as well as her parents Jack & Jewell Pittman and daughter Sonja Kinman.  She is survived by one son, Jim (Rae Jean) Howell of Dry Ridge, KY, daughter, Brigitte Howell-Kelly of Walton, KY, four sisters, Jacquelene (Joe) Mylor, Pam (Marty) Mylor, Tracy (Steve) Miles, Roxann (David) Booth all of Warsaw, KY, five grandchildren, Amanda Winters, Maggie Abshire, Jacob Kinman, Pegan Dobson, Jordan Toadvine and six great-grandchildren, Bianca Winters, Ezra Abshire, Kate Winters, Hudson Toadvine, Gemma Abshire and one 'soon-to-be'.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 11am-1pm at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 1pm.  Rev. Mark Boettcher will be officiating services.  Burial will be at the Williamstown Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the National Autism Association, 310 Maple Ave., Suite E1, Barrington, RI 02806.
