Pete Loomis

Pete Loomis , 80, of Crittenden, KY, died Saturday October 21, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospice care in Edgewood.  Born on Saturday January 16, 1943 in Grant County, KY, he was the son of the late Charles Lee and Eveline Gordon Loomis.

On February 9, 1991, Pete was united in marriage to the former Judith Salmons; she preceded him in death on September 7, 2018. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman.  He was a member of Sherman Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter: Darla Barber of Muncie, IN; two sons: Donnie Loomis of Berry, KY, Justin Loomis of Crittenden, KY; three step-children: Sheila Flachs, Greg Halfhill and Jenny Halfhill and one brother: Charles Loomis.  Six grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be Wednesday October 25, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Crittenden.  Immediately following the visitation, family and friends will proceed to Williamstown Cemetery for burial, where graveside services will be conducted.
