Rachel Rosetta Mott was born April 25, 1966 in Chicago, IL and passed away Dec. 9, 2022 in Florence, Kentucky at the age of 56. She was the 13th of 15 children born to the late David and Myrtle Eakins Mott.
Rachel accepted Christ into her life and loved God with her whole heart. She attended church her entire life and later used her wheel chair to attend. In her later days she spent time listening to sermons and attending virtual bible classes.
Rachel was a CNA for Grant Manor Nursing Home in Williamstown, KY and later became caregiver for her mother during her years of illness.
Rachel was well known and loved by everyone she encountered, especially in Kentucky where she spent her adult life. She was famous for her bubbly personality and love for life. Because of her passion for reading, she spent a great deal of time indulging in a wide variety of genre, with SciFi being a favorite, especially Star Trek.
She also had a love of music and always enjoyed listening to Gospel. She was a fantastic cook and will be remembered for having "the best ever" Fried Chicken. In addition to reading she also enjoyed spending time with her family playing games like Phase 10. She loved her Smartfood Popcorn and Potato Chips and didn't go a day without them.
Rachel was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Dennis, Marty, Leonard and Timothy; and 3 sisters: Druscilla, Rashelle and Viola.
She is survived by her son: Peeylair Mott of Verona; her daughter: SaTelliah Mott of Appleton, WI; 2 brothers: Clinton Mott (Gladys) and Alvin Mott (Stephanie); 5 sisters: Yvonne Liggett (Martin), Charlene Mott, Mary Jones, Naomi West (Gregory) and Claridda Therriault (Don); 4 grandchilren: Zailyne Smith, Cariel Smith, Martel Smith and Nakya Mott; and a God Son: Timothy Richie.
Memorial services will be 12:00 PM, Friday, December 16, 2022 at Community Family Church, 11875 Taylor Mill Rd., Independence, KY 41051 with Minister Martin Liggett officiating. A memorial visitation will be 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Friday at the church.
