Ralph L. "Babe" Taylor

Ralph L. “Babe” Taylor of Dry Ridge, KY was born April 21, 1931 in Williamstown, KY and died Saturday, May 7, 2022 at his residence at the age of 91.

He was the son of the late Lawson and June Cecelia Willer Taylor. He was a retired supervisor with Cincinnati Bell, former volunteer and chief with the Dry Ridge Fire Department, a past member of the Dry Ridge City Council, and a member and deacon of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church. On September 10, 1949 he was united in marriage to his wife Faywood Blackburn Taylor, who preceded him in death on March 19, 2021.

In addition to his wife and parents, Ralph was also preceded in death his 2 brothers, Stanley Warren “Pop” Taylor and Ricky David Taylor.

Surviving are: 2 sons, Roger Thomas “Tom” (the late Glenda) Taylor of Clay City, KY and Robert “Bob” Kyle (Cathy Stickles) Taylor of Lakeside Park, KY; 2 daughters, Rachel Anne (B.J. Richardson) Taylor of Dry Ridge, KY and Rita Carole Taylor of Pinellas Park, FL; 6 grandchildren, Adam (Mallory) Taylor, Alex Taylor, Emily (Joe) Mock, Kaitlyn Taylor, Jenka (Kyle) Conrad, and Jenna (Christopher) Duncan; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Edith Ann Smitson of Crestview Hills, KY and Linda Sue Bassett of Sunbury, PA.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY followed by burial at the New Vine Run Cemetery. Visitation will also be Saturday, 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home.
